why are there no new cars and gadgets showed in casino royale?

james bond is known for girls, gadgets and cars.. in the new casino royale there was the absence of hi tech goodies, and really nasty villains that is political in nature, the movie dealt with a person le chiffre as the villain rather than an enemy country or a terrorist grup.

the whole idea was to take bond back to the start of his career and concentrate on the basics…as a long time 007 fan…i found “casino royale” to be extremely refreshing in terms of no gadgets and a realistic villian…
because the new actor is the dumbest blonde and the director cut the stuff
or the original casino royale didnt have them
