What should I get my 16 year old son for his birthday?
Maggie asked:
He saved his money and bought a car. Money is very tight right now, but I want to do something special-Can anyone think of something creative with the car theme? Gas card sounds boring, I already filled his stocking at Christmas with car gadgets-air gauge, ice scraper, fix a flat, air fresheners, etc.

An muffler tip that makes the car sound basier and louder
just give him money, really he could buy watever he wants even if its not to much im 15 and i would prefer that
You could buy him latest cellphones, MP3, iPods, or any gadgets that are “in” today. OR you could give him cash instead
Please tell me you got him insurance first! My son likes those tacky stickers you put on the windsheild. You know the ones that look like flames or skulls or something. He also asked for those decorative rear view hanging thingies. Like fuzzy dice but not. Those aren’t cool any more. I think the one he was looking at was a dragon or something. You know with gas prices rising the way they are he may be happier with the gas than anything else. Sometimes simpler is better. Pair it up with a cake and he would probably be just as happy. It’s the thought that counts. parents can’t be cool all the time.
money!! boys don’t need anything super special, they’ll take money and thank you just the same! but don’t forget cake and ice cream too =)
Is he a car buff? Is he into vintage cars? Maybe you can take him to a car museum or get him a model of his favourite car.
you could ask him what he wants. i’m 16 and my mom has always asked me what i want for my birthdays. that way i never get anything i dont really want or need, and my mom always knows exactly what to get
